Byron Guinanzaca

I'm an Ecuadorian visual artist and craftsman based in New York City, with over 15 years of experience in photography and filmmaking, and 13 years in cabinet making and furniture design.

My work bridges two worlds. Behind the camera, I direct photography for creative, cinematic projects. In the workshop, I design and build custom furniture for clients and myself. Reading architectural drawings isn't just a technical skill—it directly sharpens my precision as a cabinet maker.

My photography foundation was built at the International Center of Photography, with collaborative experience alongside photographers like Ed Kashi (National Geographic). I draw creative inspiration from Richard Avedon and Irving Penn, pushing for striking, emotional imagery in every frame.

Beyond the lens and the workbench, I stay curious through DJing, chess, DIY projects, and exploring the world on Google Maps.
